I hired Dmitry to retouch a collection of photos I took when studying architectural photography. The original raw files embarrass me now. I was using an Olympus OMD camera, lacked experience, and made many mistakes. Yet, I have a good eye and took a lot of brackets. These photos served to document important commercial projects in New York that my friend builds.
Dmitry worked his magic, giving the photos magazine quality. With his retouching skills, all the rooms became well lit. He erased a plant on a reception desk that my friend/client hated. Without a flaw, Dmitry managed to heal all backdrop surfaces (a sleek glassed in conference room with reflections, the aluminum frame, and the white marble top). He cleaned up cords and erased sale signs from store windows. In an Italian shoe store, there was a poster of a woman wearing a bikini and high heels. He replaced it with another official ad - a well-dressed woman getting off a private jet. He corrected blown-out store windows and improved many other details.
Now, I have a 50 megapixel camera and a 24MM Canon tilt shift lens. Having Dmitry process all my commercial photos is a smart business move. He gives them that polished look. After seeing the photos Dmitry retouched, my New York builder friend invited me back to shoot his new projects, this time for pay! I'm so happy my portfolio is vastly improved, thanks to Dmitry.
